Sr. Accountant

Primary Function

Responsible for a range of general accounting duties, consolidation and financial analysis/projects.

• Responsible for intercompany billings and reconciliations.
• Analysis and/or reconciliation of general ledger accounts monthly.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages, assist with preparation of month-end closing journal entries.
• Assist with the monthly consolidation process.
• Provide schedules/reconciliations for public and internal auditors.
• Responsible for bank reconciliations and recording daily banking activity.
• Responsible for preparing and filing of various government reports.
• Continuous evolution of work process to increase accuracy and reduce completion time.
• Assist departmental managers with understanding and analysis of monthly spending
• Work with department leaders in the preparation of the annual budget, including assisting corporate managers with budget and determining proper allocation of department when needed.
• Coach and support remote location on proper use of the chart of accounts.
• Responsible for maintaining work instruction and process in accordance with company’s document management policies.
• Special analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed to support management.
• Other duties as assigned.

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
• 5+ years of general accounting experience, CPA preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be experienced with General Ledger systems and Cash Pooling Systems.
• Must be proficient in Excel, use of PC and PC Software.
• Oracle and One Stream experience a plus.
