IT Support, Systems Administrator

This position is the primary on-site IT resource for our Fountain Inn, SC manufacturing plant. The IT Technician provides technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and system issues. This role ensures reliable system performance, supports day-to-day operations, and maintains a high level of user satisfaction across the manufacturing site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on support for hardware, software, and network‑related issues for both onsite and remote users.
- Maintain daily working operations of network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, copiers, time clocks, TVs, media players, cell phones and related software.
- Assist HR department while onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; elevate to vendors or corporate IT when necessary.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment or system repairs and track service status.
- Support office moves by setting up and disconnecting IT equipment.
- Provide basic user training on systems and applications.
- Maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards and coordinate with corporate IT on infrastructure and security‑related issues.
- Participate in after‑hours support as required.
- Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining:
- CCTV/security camera systems
- Telephone & paging systems
- Badge/security access systems
- Cell phones
- Ensure confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with company policies while working on systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 10% travel required to support other plants in GA and NC as needed.
- 3+ years of hands‑on PC and IT support experience.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience in a similar environment).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Work requires the application of a variety of procedures, policies, and/or precedents used in combination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, move computer equipment (i.e., monitors, printers, CPUs, etc.) on a daily basis, at times requiring walking, reaching, bending and crawling into tight spaces.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work at various heights on silos, lifts, and ladders.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
1st shift (7:00AM - 3:30PM)
