MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.
JobPurpose
The Accounting Analyst II is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations through advanced accounting analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement. This role works closely with operations to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with accounting expertise to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to operational efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators- Perform general ledger reconciliations, account analyses, and journal entries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis, and reporting.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and reporting inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Develop and document accounting procedures and best practices.
Work schedule/hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel:
Minimal ~ 2-3 times/year
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience Requirements2-5 years
Skills- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Strong analytical skills
- Great attention to detail
- Fluent in English and optional Korean competency
- Ability to work with cross-functional operations: effective team-oriented communicator, written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Preferred experience with Access, SQL queries, SAP System
