Revit Drafter/Detailer

Our client is a leading manufacturer of highly specialized laboratory furniture and equipment solutions. They are seeking an experienced Revit Drafter/Detailer to take ownership of drafting standards, improve drawing quality and efficiency, and support the development of scalable Revit systems and libraries. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact on both project execution and process improvement.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a highly skilled Revit professional who can do more than create drawings. The successful candidate will develop Revit families and templates, create customer-facing drawing packages, collaborate across departments, and help establish best practices that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

-Create and maintain detailed Revit models, floor plans, elevations, and customer-facing submittal drawings.

-Develop, organize, and maintain Revit families, templates, and drawing standards.

-Participate in project kickoff meetings and gather requirements from project managers and internal stakeholders.

-Utilize architect-provided Revit and CAD backgrounds to integrate products into facility layouts.

-Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Operations teams.

-Assemble complete drawing packages including plans, elevations, product information, and supporting documentation.

-Improve drafting workflows, standards, and processes to reduce rework and increase efficiency.

-Visit manufacturing operations and project sites to develop product knowledge and better understand installation requirements.

Required Qualifications:

-Advanced proficiency with Revit.

-5+ years of Revit drafting, detailing, or design experience preferred.

-Experience creating Revit families, libraries, templates, and standards from the ground up.

-Strong understanding of architectural drawings, layouts, elevations, and customer-facing design documentation.

-Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

-Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

-Strong sense of ownership and accountability for project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in architectural drafting, millwork, cabinetry, interiors, laboratory environments, building products, or related industries.

-Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

-Exposure to Solid Works is a plus.

-Experience supporting manufacturing or fabricated product environments is beneficial.

-Experience mentoring junior drafters or reviewing outsourced drafting work.

-Local to Orange County/Southern California. Remote candidates are considered, but local is preferred.

Pay and Benefits:
