Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Revit Drafter / Detailer to play a key role in the development, standardization, and execution of high-quality drawing packages for laboratory and technical facility projects. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Revit professional who brings more than drafting expertise. The successful candidate will help establish drafting standards, develop scalable Revit systems and libraries, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and quality across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed Revit models, floor plans, elevations, and customer-facing submittal drawings.
  • Create, organize, and manage Revit families, templates, libraries, and drafting standards.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings to gather requirements and coordinate deliverables.
  • Utilize architect-provided Revit and AutoCAD backgrounds to integrate products into facility layouts.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
  • Assemble comprehensive drawing packages including plans, elevations, specifications, product information, and supporting documentation.
  • Improve drafting workflows, standards, and processes to reduce rework and improve efficiency.
  • Support quality control efforts by reviewing drawings for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Visit manufacturing facilities and project sites to develop product knowledge and gain a stronger understanding of installation requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable systems that support future business growth.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • 5+ years of Revit drafting, detailing, architectural design, or related experience.
  • Proven experience creating Revit families, templates, libraries, and standards from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, detailing, and customer-facing design documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in architectural drafting, millwork, cabinetry, furniture systems, interiors, laboratory environments, or related industries.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of laboratory, healthcare, cleanroom, science, research, or technical facility environments is plus.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, or building product organizations.
  • Experience developing drafting standards and process improvements.
  • Experience mentoring junior drafters or reviewing outsourced drafting work.
