QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to join our team in Fountain Valley, CA. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and aerospace industry regulations. The ideal candidate will support the Quality Management System (QMS), lead root cause investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for manufacturing assemblies
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure AS9100 compliance
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and internal audits
• Lead investigations of nonconformances using root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
• Implement and validate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Support supplier quality and incoming/outgoing inspection processes
• Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities including disposition and rework
• Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECNs)
• Ensure customer flow-down requirements and contractual quality clauses are met
• Act as liaison with customers on quality issues, audits, and inspections
• Support and improve QMS documentation (procedures, work instructions, inspection plans)
• Track and report effectiveness of corrective actions to leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and product performance

• Salary range: $100,000 to $105,000 per year.
