Pay Range*: $43.13/hr - $62.55/hr
Signing Bonus: $2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position SummaryThe Respiratory Care Practitioner is an allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary modalities provided in all areas of the hospital on geriatric, adult, adolescent and pediatric patient populations where Respiratory Care services are provided.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job- Ability to work as a dependable, informed and engaged member of the department team.
- Ability to consistently provide world-class customer service to patients, families, visitors and fellow healthcare providers.
- Ability to demonstrate the skill set necessary to accurately assess pulmonary status of patients served.
- Ability to collaborate with the patient care team to appropriately establish, evaluate and adjust the plan of care according to patient needs within the scope of practice of the RCP license and policies and procedures of the hospital.
- Ability to safely and effectively perform all therapeutic respiratory care modalities in the Respiratory Care scope of service.
- Ability to meaningfully participate and contribute to the success of QA and PI projects.
- Ability to show up to work, on-time and take work assignment as delegated.
- Ability to precept and mentor students, new hires, new grads and other employees.
- Ability to be at work and be on time.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
* Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in all areas where Respiratory Care is provided to (pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients) preferred.
- Documented verification of all required department competencies for neonate respiratory care modalities or respiratory special procedure modalities required.
- Minimum AS Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent preferred.
- Current Certification Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - required.
- Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card required.
- Current Neonate Resuscitation Program Certification required, if NICU.
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card preferred.
