Procurement Specialist
The procurement specialist is responsible for assisting with the procurement of material to be used for dynamic custom projects. They work closely with multiple internal departments in the support of supply chain activities. Responsibilities include soliciting price quotes from suppliers, generating purchase orders, monitoring lead times, material availability, and work-in-progress status across the supply chain. They inform key stakeholders of status and potential issues, coordinate with sales teams to fold sales trends and forecasts into demand planning and product run rates, suggest inventory adjustments based on changes in demand, market trends, or supply variability, manage inventory across multiple storage locations, and build and maintain relationships with new and existing third-party vendors.
All other duties as required. Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, preferred. Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly including Excel and the use of pivot charts. Proficiency with ERP systems, familiarity with SAGE a plus.
Experience:
2 years of experience with commercial purchasing activities, facilitating supply chain logistics, and a thorough understanding of supply chain systems. Pay: $80,, DOE
