The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fountain Valley, CA, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of custom window coverings and textiles. This role coordinates daily workflow on the production floor, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. The Production Manager collaborates closely with design, sales, and operations teams to translate project specifications into clear manufacturing instructions and optimize processes for efficiency and consistency.
Responsibilities include managing production staff, monitoring inventory of materials and hardware, enforcing safety and compliance standards, and resolving production issues as they arise. The role also involves tracking key performance indicators, implementing process improvements, and supporting continuous training to maintain the craftsmanship and quality expected of Solé Shades' bespoke products.
- Experience in production management, operations, or manufacturing leadership within textiles, home furnishings, or related industries.
- Strong skills in scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource planning to meet deadlines and order volumes.
- Proficiency in quality assurance practices, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
- Ability to lead and develop production teams, including performance management, training, and conflict resolution.
- Comfort with inventory management, basic supply chain concepts, and working with vendors for materials and hardware.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, sales, and operations stakeholders.
- Familiarity with production software or ERP tools, and the ability to interpret production reports and metrics.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations in a production or workshop environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in manufacturing, operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Fountain Valley, CA, and be physically present on the production floor as needed.
