Per Diem Nurse - Labor and Delivery - Nights - Fountain Valley

Position Summary

A Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for the care of labor patients before, during and after delivery, newborn care immediately following birth, and outpatient visits to Labor & Delivery. The nurse monitors fetal status, communicates with physicians, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases.

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
• Conduct fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Circulate and recover patients during Cesarean sections.
• Manage complex medical cases and coordinate care with other team members.

• BSN in Nursing (minimum).
• Active RN license in California.
• California state licensure.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Minimum one year recent Labor & Delivery experience.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

• Knowledge of university and medical center policies and procedures.
