The Cardiovascular RN is responsible for ensuring patient safety during Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining communication with the physician and charge/manager to keep workflow, staying abreast of department and industry standard changes, and filtering this information to the procedural staff members. On‑call requirement with a 30‑minute response time. Department procedures include but are not limited to: coronary angiogram/angioplasty, peripheral angiogram/angioplasty, neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and thoracic vessel repair, neuro coronary peripheral pulmonary thrombectomy, central/port placement and removal, electrophysiology procedures including ablation, cardiac rhythm management (CRM) procedures, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), cardioversion, and stress tests.

Minimum of 1 year acute care experience; preferred: intensive care unit, cath lab/IR, emergency department; telemetry experience may be considered; ability to identify and interpret ECG rhythms, knowledge of vasoactive medications. Current California RN license;
Current NIHSS Certification;
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, possess a current California RN license, and have at least 1 year acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care Unit, or Emergency Department. Telemetry experience may be considered. Full command of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served. 12‑lead EKG interpretations required. Annual update, education assignments; completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.

Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
