The Product Test Engineer Support Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of manufactured products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This position involves supporting the engineering team by preparing test setups, executing test procedures, and documenting results to verify product performance against specifications. The technician will collaborate closely with design and production teams to identify issues early and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
By maintaining test equipment and troubleshooting technical problems, the role helps minimize downtime and supports efficient product development cycles. Ultimately, this position ensures that products meet stringent quality standards before reaching customers, thereby safeguarding the company’s reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Set up and calibrate test equipment and instrumentation according to engineering specifications and internal test procedures.
- Execute detailed test plans and procedures to evaluate product functionality, durability, and compliance.
- Record, analyze, and report test data accurately to support engineering assessments and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and perform routine maintenance on test systems and tools to ensure operational readiness.
- Assist in the development and refinement of test protocols and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on test processes and product performance.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, etc.
- Execute daily process improvement using lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Maintain work area by the use of 6S principles
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your supervisor or manager immediately
