Java Kotlin Engineer​/Fountain Valley, CA

Overview

A leading enterprise-level telematics and GPS tracking company is looking to hire a Java / Kotlin Developer to support the design and development of scalable software solutions used across the transportation, construction, and agricultural industries. This role focuses on building reliable, high-performance systems that process and manage real-time location and vehicle data  will work on core backend services that power telematics and GPS platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based, production-ready applications.

The ideal candidate has strong Java and Kotlin experience, enjoys working in data-intensive environments, and is comfortable within modern CI/CD and cloud ecosystems.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin.
• Build and enhance software supporting telematics and GPS tracking systems for enterprise customers.
• Develop and optimize data access layers using MySQL.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Collaborate with team members using Git-based version control and modern development workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality code.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
