Driver-Ventura

Overview

Work Shift:

Monday-Friday 5p-11p Saturday-3p-9p. The Target Pay for this position is $20 an hour with $0.72/mile reimbursement while using your own personal vehicle. Candidate must reside in Ventura County, CA.

• Adhere to Driver and Safety Handbook policies and protocols
• Prepare routes with coolers, icepacks, biopsy bags, and vehicle checklist
• Deliver client supplies and specimens to the appropriate destination in a timely manner
• Maintain specimen integrity at all times
• Use logistics software to manage route pickups, including data entry and photo documentation
• Operate your vehicle safely, maintain a valid driver’s license, and keep a clean driving record
• Ensure proper equipment (carry bag, coolers, cellphone, keys, etc.) is ready at the start of each route
• Complete late return forms when arriving after the estimated time
• Use “We Were Here, But No Specimens Available” tags when necessary
• Provide courteous and professional interactions with clients
• Communicate with the Transportation Supervisor on all issues that arise during a route
• Represent Antech in a positive manner at all times
• Comply with all processes including timekeeping, attendance, punctuality, and safety requirements
• Assist in other duties relevant to transportation services

High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 36 months of driving experience as evidenced by a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Neat, professional appearance
• Clean driving record
• Positive, can‑do attitude

• Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and driving
• Fine dexterity with hands; steadiness required
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds) and carry up to 15 pounds for several minutes
• Vision requires constant mental visual attention to details and ability to see well in limited light scenarios
• Ability to balance, bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist

• Majority of time spent operating a motor vehicle
• Laboratory environment with potential biohazards present
• Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment
• Potential exposure to zoonotic agents and hazardous chemicals
