Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Typing accurate at 40 wpm.
- Demonstrate computer skills.
- Ability to meet the public.
- Two years previous experience in secretarial or clerical field.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact with students.
- Pass Excel and Word testing.

Job Goals:
To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain accurate reports of attendance, enrollment, withdrawals, schedules, student files and any other reports as needed.
- Meet the public and address their needs with a pleasant personality.
- Assist the students in meeting their needs.
- Prepare nine-weeks report, immunization report, year-end report, and all other periodic reports, schedules, and letters required by district, state or federal government.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid whenever necessary.
- Handle all mail services of the building.
- Take necessary inventories and order needed supplies.
- Take money and issue receipts and related money matters.
- Make contact with other schools for transcript information.
- Contact parents in regards to student absence.
- Assist in marking textbooks and supplies.
- Prepare registration information.
- Prepare information for report cards and attendance.
- Order building supplies when necessary.
- Call substitute teachers.
- Maintain good building key records.
Salary:
Building Secretaries are on the Classified Salary Schedule.

Employment Period: 212 days per year - 8 Hour Work Day
