Building Interventionist And ELD Teacher

This position will serve as the Building Interventionist (.5) and ELD Teacher (.5) at Patriot Elementary School. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, a valid Colorado Teaching Certificate endorsed in area of assignment, and a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement. Job goals focus on creating a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth, establishing effective rapport with pupils, and motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational background in accordance with each pupil's ability.

Performance responsibilities include planning a program of study appropriate to the maturity and interest of students, creating a positive classroom environment, guiding the learning process to increase student achievement, employing instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives, assessing the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, working with other professionals to determine special learning needs of pupils, collaborating with colleagues, students, and/or parents on an ongoing basis concerning student academic and behavioral progress, adhering to the Board of Education policies, state rules and regulations, and to licensure standards, and striving to maintain and improve professional competence and serving on staff committees as required.

Salary is certified and based upon degree status and years of experience. Employment period is 186 days per year.
