Overview

Description:

Analyzes, prepares and maintains financial statements and records. Manages long-term revenue billing and collection. Monitors payroll, short term revenue and accounts payable functions. Manages fixed assets, assists with year end closing, the general ledger and financial reporting.

• Performs accounting fuctions by processing payroll, managing accounts payable and fixed assets, maintaining the general ledger, performing audits, preparing various reports and spreadsheets, reconciling accounts and collecting various payments.
• Completes special projects by managing monthly reports, preparing schedules and work papers for accounts, managing capital projects and monitoring reports.
• Manages new technology and information by updating policies and procedures, providing training and maintaining intra and internet web sites.

Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor  degree or equivalent.

Three years experience in accounting or finance.

• Valid Driver’s License

• The Tuition Assistance Program is established to encourage employees toward continued self-development and education. Permanent full-time and permanent part-time classified, unclassified permanent, full-time special projects, and constitutional employees who have completed six months continuous service will be eligible to apply. The applicant’s school of enrollment must be an accredited institution.
