This opportunity is part of the evolving cybersecurity group focused on setting industry benchmarks in managing and guarding against digital risks in a cloud-native, Dev Ops-only environment. The team operates as a lean, mission-driven group with independence to challenge the status quo and advance cyber practices. Core areas:
Product & Platform Security, Cloud Native Risk Management, and Detection & Response.
- Alert triage: investigate EDR, Entra, Email & SIEM alerts to identify threats and anomalies.
- Conduct detailed technical investigations on security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend/mitigate incidents per the security framework.
- Create and maintain Incident Response processes, runbooks, and SOPs with continuous documentation and reporting.
- Provide security advisory, develop use cases, support deployment/integration, and fine-tune security platforms with other IT teams.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT to strengthen security posture and reduce attack surface.
- Utilize open-source threat intelligence to evaluate threats and deploy necessary detection/remediation procedures.
- Coordinate with Tech and Non-tech teams to achieve cybersecurity objectives and resolve complex security problems.
- Understand infrastructure, products, and business processes to ensure adequate security controls; provide management with deep threat insights and lead others.
- 8–11 years of experience in Security Operations/Incident Management.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong cybersecurity focus.
- Proven leadership in owning security issues and guiding teams to resolution.
- Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills; ability to operate in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills in correlating events, log analysis, networking basics, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of SOC frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, cyber kill chain).
- Experience with security tools (EDR, Email security, IPS/IDS, Firewall, SIEM); hands-on with tools such as McAfee EDR, Fire Eye, Crowd Strike EDR, Cortex XDR, Microsoft XDR.
- Exposure to Cloud Security technologies; exposure in implementing/securing AI technologies is desirable.
- Demonstrated good customer service and a curiosity to learn and adapt; GIAC/CySA+ or equivalent preferred.
- Open to learning new security concepts.
