Equipment Operator, Schmidt

Job Description

The Levy Group of Companies (Schmidt) is seeking an Equipment Operator, with at least five years of experience, to work at our Fountain, CO location. The Operator will operate heavy equipment, specifically Excavator and Dozer. Pay:
Starting at $27 per hour + DOE. Shift/

Schedule:

Full Time, overtime as needed. Benefits:

Responsibilities:
The Operator will:

• Safely operate Excavator and Dozer
• Mining - digging and loading haul trucks to feed plant
• Settling ponds - digging and loading haul trucks to remove material from settling ponds
• Stripping - digging and loading haul trucks with overburden
• Various projects as needed
• Performing daily machine inspections
• Communicating with office and field personnel
• Inspect grade and elevations correctly
• Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to operate grader, roller, and loader
• Knowledge of materials
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
• Work outside for an extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
• Ability to read and write
• Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
