Concrete Carpenter
This role focuses on commercial concrete work, including flatwork, curb and gutter projects, and precise form setting. You will use your carpentry and finishing expertise to deliver high-quality concrete structures in a commercial construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial concrete flatwork, including placing, leveling, and finishing slabs to specification.
- Construct, set, and align concrete forms for curbs, gutters, slabs, and other structural elements.
- Finish concrete surfaces using appropriate hand tools and techniques to achieve the required texture and appearance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate layout and execution of work.
- Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials to support concrete placement and maintain structural integrity.
- Use hand tools and related equipment safely and efficiently during all phases of concrete work.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate tasks and maintain project timelines.
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all site safety procedures and guidelines.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in concrete carpentry or closely related commercial concrete work.
- Hands-on experience with commercial concrete projects, including flatwork and curb and gutter construction.
- Proficiency in setting, bracing, and stripping concrete forms for various structural elements.
- Concrete finishing skills, including troweling, edging, and jointing to achieve specified finishes.
- Strong carpentry skills related to formwork construction and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately.
- Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand tools commonly used in concrete and carpentry work.
- Solid understanding of basic construction practices and site procedures.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew to meet project deadlines.

Work Environment

The schedule typically follows standard construction hours, with potential for extended or weekend work depending on project needs. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an expectation of appropriate work attire suitable for a construction site, including protective gear as required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fountain, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
