About Emporia HoldingsEmporia Holdings is a private-equity-backed software holding company serving resale verticals. Our operating brands Simple Consign, Resale World, and VendrIQ deliver point-of-sale, inventory, and marketplace software to thousands of independent retailers, alongside an embedded payments business spanning multiple card processors.
We are a small, high-leverage corporate team. Decisions get made quickly, ownership is real, and the person in this seat will shape how the entire company runs.
The OpportunityThe Director of Business Systems owns a build-and-consolidate mandate, not a caretaker role. You will be the single accountable owner of our business application stack, its data model, and the integrations between systems.
What You'll Own System ownership and administration- Serve as the accountable owner for Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Maxio, Hub Spot, and supporting SaaS applications across all entities
- Manage licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, and total cost of ownership across the application portfolio
- Design, build, and maintain integrations across the lead-to-cash flow: marketing and demand capture through Hub Spot, opportunity and account management in Salesforce, subscription billing and revenue recognition in Maxio, and financial consolidation in Intacct.
- Define and enforce the master data model, customer, account, entity, product, and subscription hierarchies, so that a store, a customer, and a dollar mean the same thing in every system
- Build and own the data pipeline that feeds recurring reporting: bookings and attainment, churn by segment, ARR and net revenue retention, and payments residual performance across entities and processors
- Reduce manual reconciliation, particularly in areas where spreadsheets currently bridge gaps between systems
- Partner with Finance and GTM leadership
- Translate operating problems into system requirements, and push back when a process change is the better answer than a system change
- Support M&A activity: systems due diligence, integration planning, and post-close onboarding of acquired companies onto the Emporia stack
- Establish change management, environment, and release discipline appropriate to a company of our size, enough rigor to be safe, not enough to be slow
- Own user access provisioning and de-provisioning, segregation of duties, and audit trails across financial and commercial systems
- Maintain documentation of system architecture, data flows, and integration logic
- 7+ years in business systems, business applications, enterprise applications, or revenue operations, including 3+ years owning a multi-application stack end to end
- Hands-on depth in at least two of Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Maxio (or a comparable subscription billing platform such as Zuora, Chargebee, or Recurly), and Hub Spot
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production integrations, whether through an iPaaS or direct API work
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills; comfort working in a warehouse or BI layer
- Experience supporting a subscription software business
- Multi-entity experience: consolidated financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and shared-versus-separate instance decisions across operating companies
- Post-acquisition systems integration in a holding company, PE-backed platform, or serial-acquirer environment
- Exposure to embedded payments or merchant services — processor reporting, residual and revenue-share calculations, and the reconciliation challenges that come with multiple processors i>
Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent credential
- Direct visibility with executive leadership and board-level exposure
- Genuine ownership of a function
- Competitive base salary and annual bonus
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; PTO policy; other benefits
