Foxborough Regional Charter School District (FRCS) serves students from across Southeast Massachusetts, with approximately 1,500 students and families drawn from diverse urban and suburban communities. Job Summary

We are seeking a Middle School Assistant Principal who shares our belief that education is a civil right and that every child can learn. The Assistant Principal supports the school's mission by working collaboratively with the Principal, staff, students, families, and community partners to foster a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment. Responsibilities span instructional leadership, staff supervision, culture and discipline, administrative and operational leadership, family engagement, and collaboration with labor representatives.

Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership
  • Support the Principal in implementing the FRCS instructional vision, including culturally responsive instructional practices.
  • Serve as an active member of the district Teaching and Learning Team and the school Instructional Leadership Team, contributing to curriculum development, instructional planning, and integration of data‑informed strategies.
  • Analyze student achievement and behavioral data to support student success and drive instructional improvement.
  • Collaborate with student services staff and other interventionists to design and implement academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Participate in planning and facilitating recruitment strategies and hiring processes for instructional staff.
  • Interview and recommend educator candidates for open positions, ensuring equity and alignment with school needs and culture.
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and induction of new staff.
Staff Supervision and Development
  • Supervise, evaluate, and support instructional and non‑instructional staff to ensure high‑quality performance and continuous professional growth.
  • Lead and coordinate ongoing professional development that aligns with school improvement goals and staff needs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to enhance instructional practices and student learning.
  • Collaborate regularly with the school's educator collective bargaining unit, the FRCSTA, maintaining a professional and constructive working relationship.
  • Assist in resolving staff concerns in alignment with contractual obligations and school policies.
School Culture and Systems
  • Support oversight of student behavior and discipline systems to promote a safe, respectful, and restorative climate.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of school‑wide behavior expectations, discipline procedures, and student support plans.
  • Support development and maintenance of systems of tiered intervention for academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional development.
Administrative and Operational Leadership
  • Serve as a key member of the school Administrative Team, contributing to strategic planning, goal setting, and day‑to‑day leadership.
  • Oversee school policies, procedures, and compliance with district and state guidelines.
  • Ensure student safety through supervision, emergency planning, and monitoring of building operations.
  • Assist in resource allocation, scheduling, and managing daily logistics of school operations.
  • Assist with state, district, and school‑wide testing processes and data analysis.
  • Serve as Principal in the Principal's absence.
