About the Role:
The Project Manager oversees the structural design process from inception to construction, handling structural analysis, preparing plans and specifications, and reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs. This role involves problem‑solving, decision‑making, and directing the work of junior engineers and BIM technicians. The Project Manager coordinates with clients, architects, municipal agencies, and the design team, manages project schedules, forecasts workloads, and handles project communication and documentation.
Technical responsibilities include designing and analyzing mid to high‑rise buildings using software like ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the structural design and analysis of mid- to high-rise buildings using industry-standard software including ETABS, SAP
2000, and RAM. - Develop structural concepts, perform complex engineering analyses, and prepare design criteria for a variety of building projects.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring designs meet applicable building codes, project requirements, and quality standards.
- Review and coordinate structural designs with architects, owners, contractors, and other members of the design team.
- Review shop drawings and construction submittals to verify compliance with design intent, technical requirements, and safety standards.
- Identify project challenges, develop practical solutions, and guide project teams through implementation.
- Lead client, consultant, and project team meetings and serve as a primary technical point of contact.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource utilization to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, correspondence, and project documentation.
- Provide quality control reviews and ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all project deliverables.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
- Assist with proposal preparation, project budgeting, fee development, and business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting networking, marketing, and industry engagement efforts.
- Collaborate across disciplines and offices to support project and company‑wide goals.
