** Overview
* * Barings Equipment Finance — also known as Mass Mutual Asset Finance — is a national equipment finance investment platform managing over $9 billion in assets and originating $1–$2 billion annually. The team spans originators, credit analysts, operations, documentation, accounting, and portfolio management professionals, supporting a full‑cycle commercial finance platform.

The Documentation Specialist is responsible for reviewing and managing all documentation related to equipment financing transactions. This role ensures that documents comply with credit approval terms and conditions, lien perfection, and supporting the closing and funding of equipment finance transactions.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Review, draft, and finalize equipment finance documentation—including loan agreements, leases, security agreements, and ancillary documents—in partnership with external counsel.
* Support both direct originations and a high volume of syndicated/indirect transactions.
* Partner with origination teams, credit analysts, clients, and legal counsel to collect required information and resolve documentation issues.
* Ensure all executed documentation aligns with internal policies, credit approvals, and client requirements.
* Manage documentation timelines, track status, and follow up to ensure timely closing and funding.
* Maintain accurate and complete transaction files in accordance with company standards.
* Provide documentation support for audits, compliance reviews, and internal inquiries.
* Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders regarding documentation needs, revisions, and approvals.
** Requirements
* ** 3-5 years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, or loan/documentation management.  

Experience with syndication and assignment documentation a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related discipline preferred;
Degrees in law, legal studies, or paralegal certification are also strongly valued given the contract‑focused nature of the role.
* Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
* Paralegal experience or formal training is a plus.
* Familiarity with IDS lease/loan management systems a plus.
