Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to work closely with our sales teams to support sales opportunities and ensure high-level customer service and satisfaction in accordance with our Core Values.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce and provide proposals for customer solutions by listening to and evaluating customer requirements and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Grow valve automation business to meet sales goals by promoting NECI’s reputation as a total valve supplier and developing product knowledge.
  • Achieve sales results for new product initiatives through participation in launches, probing customer needs, and applying new technology and product offerings.
  • Provide technical support to customers during start‑up, checkout, and calibration, resolving issues based on principles and internal procedures.
  • Follow through on all customer orders, returns, credits, and invoicing to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Support on‑time delivery by assessing customer needs, negotiating due dates, and expediting with suppliers to meet expectations.
  • Identify new sales opportunities, maintain accurate customer data in IFS, and support account growth strategies.
  • Participate actively in quality systems and preventive actions to reduce quality deficiencies.
  • Participate in the company’s safety and health program and report compliance issues.
  • Maintain professional competency through training, workshops, and development opportunities.
  • Inform management of market conditions and competitor activities in the territory.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Competitive spirit and self‑motivated to exceed goals and drive growth.
  • Proven experience in customer‑facing roles; passion for people and engagement.
  • Knowledge of valve automation and related product lines.
  • Ability to develop and price solutions, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to use IFS and other customer‑relationship systems.
  • Experience with technical support and problem solving.
  • Experience in a fast‑moving environment and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality programs.
