Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary

Senior Software Engineer – Front‑End Application Services at Schneider Electric IT Corporation, Foxboro, MA. Remote eligible up to 3 days per week. Salary in U.S.: $178,131–$185,220 per year plus short‑term incentive. • Design, implement, test, and support customer‑facing application services.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Architect solutions with simplicity, resilience, and cost awareness.
• Uphold security and privacy best practices and address bugs.
• Profile and optimize application latency, throughput, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable code aligned with testing strategy (unit and integration tests).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on large efforts.
• Apply version control best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive backend software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of professional Java development with Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience developing container‑based cloud‑native software (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) in a public cloud (Azure or equivalent).
• Design and implementation of event‑driven architectures (Apache Kafka or similar) for 2+ years.
• Proficiency with relational or No
  
  SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar) and performance optimization.
• Technical leadership experience: authoring design documents, coordinating implementation, mentoring junior engineers, and conducting code reviews.
