Job Description
:
Prepare individual federal (Form 1040) and state tax returns for individuals, trusts and small businesses

Responsibilities
:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
• Identify potential tax credits, deductions and opportunities to minimize tax liability
• Adhere to firm’s standardized procedures and documentation requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and security of client information
• Regular, timely and clear communication with team members is expected
• Accurate time-keeping and productivity during working hours is expected
• Communicate directly with clients to address questions, provide updates, and ensure a high level of service
• Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books (Online/Desktop) to review client accounts

Qualifications
:

• Experience (minimum of 3 years) in the field of public accounting
• CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail required
• Organized and able to confidently prioritize assignments
• Client service focused with excellent people skills
• Very comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience preparing Forms 1041, 1120, 1120‑S, 709 or 706 a plus
• Experience with Lacerte tax software a plus
• Experience with Quick Books a plus
