** Job Summary*
* This position is hybrid in office and requires office days that align with the team. Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Merchandise Assistant to support 2-4 Buyers and an AVP, Merchandise Manager. This role involves a combination of administrative, operational, and vendor-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage purchase order processes, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure smooth day-to-day merchandising operations.
The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
** Key Responsibilities*
* ** Purchase Order Management*
* + Prepare, review, and process domestic and international purchase orders using internal systems (Buyer Worksheet application).
+ Monitor purchase order lifecycle, including daily revisions and change management processes.
+ Ensure accuracy and completeness of ASN/EDI purchase order data and follow up with vendors for missing information.
+ Collaborate with Planning & Allocation teams to ensure timely and accurate PO entry.
+ Partner with transportation teams to resolve shipment-related issues.
+ Track all generated POs to ensure final receipt and accuracy.
** Vendor Communication & Coordination*
* + Serve as a primary point of contact for ~50+ vendors, handling communication via phone and email.
+ Manage vendor inquiries related to purchase orders, allocations, and general concerns.
** Administrative & Operational Support*
* + Provide daily administrative support including filing, faxing, and document management.
+ Organize and maintain reports such as Buyer Control Files and On Order Inquiry reports.
+ Create and maintain spreadsheets to track weekly spending and other key metrics.
+ Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries and scheduling for 2-5 merchants.
** Sample & Inventory Coordination*
* + Manage vendor samples including receiving, organizing, and setting up displays for buyer review.
+ Track sample shipments to ensure timely receipt and return.
** Compliance & Special Projects*
* + Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including obtaining required approvals on purchase orders.
+ Maintain pre-ticket address databases and collaborate with Planning and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
+ Assist with special projects such as sales analysis, spend tracking, and reporting as assigned.
** Qualifications*
* + Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office tools.
+ Experience in merchandising, retail operations, or buying support preferred.
** Education*
* + High School Diploma

** Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
