Located in Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive,open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland,Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This is a part-time, student employment position with no benefits. Reporting to the Admissions Office Coordinator the candidate will provide excellent customer service inafast-paced office environment and perform clerical duties as assigned.
Assisting with Admissions outreachandeventsthat connecthighschool’s students, adult learners andcareer changers toMassBay’scareerand technicaleducationprograms. Weekend sand evenings as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet visitors and current, former, and prospective students who visit the Admissions Office; help determine their needs and refer to the appropriate person/department;
- Use Slate (CRM) to better assist visitors;
- Host campus tours for prospective students;
- Represent Mass Bay as a studentrepresentativeand speak about yourexperiencewith the collegeat internalandexternalevents;
- Use Microsoft Teams group chat to collaborate with Admissions staff members in order to assist in-office visitors withtheir inquiries;
- Check the Admissions voicemail twice daily at the beginning and end of work shifts, and outreachtoapplicants byphone regarding their application status and next steps toward enrollment;
- Assist with scanning or filing student records;
- Provide Admissions Office with support during large scale events, such as fall and spring Open House;
- Assemble Admissions’ hard copy communications and information packets.

Required Qualifications:- Consistent and reliable work habits;
- Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Sensitivity to the confidentiality of student records with respect to FERPA law.
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affermative Action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
- Experience providing customer service to the public;
- Understanding of how each college department serves students and families;
- Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.
Salary Range: $19 per hour
