Overview
Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Montessori Early Childhood teacher for a full-time position beginning August 26, 2026. The ideal candidate will be a fully credentialed and experienced Montessori Children’s House teacher. We seek a motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills who values working as a member of a dynamic and creative team.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Montessori Early Childhood curriculum and will be adept at managing the classroom systems (environmental preparation, classroom management, observation and record keeping) that support the functioning of a successful Montessori Early Childhood classroom. Additionally, candidates should enjoy spending time in nature with children.
Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Montessori Early Childhood credential from a MACTE accredited teacher education program. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, have successful experience working collaboratively in a team approach, and will share Summit’s core values and our DEI work.
Responsibilities- Apply thorough knowledge of the Montessori Early Childhood curriculum and manage classroom systems (environmental preparation, classroom management, observation and record keeping) to support the functioning of a successful Montessori Early Childhood classroom.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team and engage in outdoor/nature activities with children.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Montessori Early Childhood credential from a MACTE-accredited teacher education program.
- Demonstrated motivation toward professional development and ability to work collaboratively in a team; alignment with Summit’s core values and DEI work.

Summit, a 29-year-old school, is housed in an historic Victorian building in a wooded neighborhood in Framingham. The school recently expanded its campus to accommodate a growing Beginners program and to add community space. The school currently enrolls 125 students, ages 18 months-12 years. Summit holds accreditations from the American Montessori Society and the Association of Independent Schools of New England.
