• Deliver instructor-led content in a virtual classroom setting to maximize learning effectiveness
• Prepare the virtual classroom for training and manage classroom activities
• Conduct practical exercises, administer exams, and evaluate student performance
• Instruct on various emergency management topics from the National Emergency Management Basic Academy curriculum
• Participate in additional assignments, including program development and support roles during emergencies

• Minimum of five years of relevant emergency management experience or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and methods for effective teaching
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including weekends and evenings
• Proficiency in computers, MS Office software, and audio-visual technology

• Successful completion of a recognized educational methodology course
• Ability to facilitate virtual and hybrid training environments
• Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills and organization
• Experience in course/program development and writing After Action Reports
• Willingness to travel within the state for assigned training sessions
