School Year

POSITION SUMMARY

The Resiliency for Life teacher supports students in developing and achieving academic, personal, and post-secondary goals. The teacher plans and delivers multiple sections of RFL Seminar, with instruction focused on financial literacy, future planning and post-high school pathways, motivation, and task initiation. The role includes providing structured time and 1:1 academic support for students to complete schoolwork and creating action plans for students with extended absences.

The RFL teacher maintains regular communication with students and caregivers regarding attendance and academic progress, and meets frequently with students and families who are experiencing challenges. The teacher also communicates regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, administrators, and outside agencies to coordinate supports for students and families.
