TITLE:

School Nutrition Worker

POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team as a vital member in our bustling food service operation! As a key player, you will assist in food preparation, efficiently handle cash registers and POS systems, and maintain a pristine kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will also involve serving students and staff, managing daily deposits in accordance with our revenue policy, and ensuring seamless inventory control. Be prepared to dive into a dynamic role that includes everything from dishwashing to stock organization, with the opportunity to tackle additional tasks as assigned by our supportive Cafeteria Manager and Director.

EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated aptitude for the successful performance of the task listed. One (1) year of previous food service experience is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITY:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of food service equipment and of institutional meal preparation is preferred. Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions. Ability to work with food service staff, faculty, and students; to communicate with food service staff, faculty, and students; must understand and learn all safety and sanitation regulations pertaining to food service; ability to lift/carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

* Help with food preparation as needed

* Support daily program operations including operating the cash register, POS computer, washing pots, cleaning tables, using the dish machine, and serving students and staff during meal distribution.

* Aid in handling daily deposits while adhering to the Framingham School Nutrition Revenue Policy.

* Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and cafeteria.

* Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory.
