The Summer Assistant Teacher works collaboratively with Summer Program Assistant Teachers, Teachers, and Coordinators to support the success of the Summer Program. This role helps strengthen the overall quality of programming by leading a group of students through daily schedules, implementing and facilitating curriculum activities, and delegating tasks needed by Aides. This position is dedicated to deliver Framingham Public Schools' high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap among subgroups within the schools.

• Ability to support smooth transitions for groups of students throughout the day.
• Complete one on one check-ins with individual students.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, assistant teachers, parents, and coordinators.
• Use creativity to assist students in specific crafts and activities.
• Communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, parents, and the general public.
• Strong reasoning and problem‑solving skills to evaluate situations and determine or recommend appropriate courses of action.
