Bring your passion for inclusive education to a rewarding, full-time contract role working with elementary students who have developmental delays and intellectual impairments. Situated in a welcoming school environment near Framingham, MA, this position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 25, 2026. You'll work with 2nd and 3rd grade students, helping them achieve their learning goals and ensuring each child receives tailored academic and emotional support.
This onsite role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, providing a consistent schedule to engage with students closely and collaborate with a dedicated educational team.
What you bring to this opportunity:- School-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Active Massachusetts license/certification in Special Education for either Moderate or Severe disabilities
- Background check via CORI search and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a prior employer for fingerprinting may be accepted)
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting students cognitive, emotional, and social growth
- Adapt curricula and use differentiated instruction to meet varying student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Engage with families and caregivers to ensure consistent student progress and support
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
