College And Career Center Student Intern Coordinator

The College and Career Center Student Intern will work in the College and Career Center in collaboration with the Student Success Academy (SSA) to manage summer internship placements for the students in the SSA and Career Development Program. In addition, the intern will build programs and practices at FHS to increase work-based learning opportunities for students with regards to post-secondary aspirations.

Educational Requirement:
High school diploma required. Demonstrated interest or experience with healthcare and career development programming is preferred.

Professional

Experience:

Experience in healthcare or education environments is preferred. Ability to assist in coordinating programs and supporting students individually or in groups is highly valued. We welcome candidates who bring perspectives from non-traditional educational backgrounds or an understanding of underrepresented experiences.

Communication:
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. Ability to speak to parents and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.

Technical Savvy:
Ability to operate and/or acquire skills to operate a computer and related software, including but not limited to the Google Suite.

Work Ethic:
Highly motivated, creative, displaying a high degree of maturity, integrity, and capability to work independently to support district needs.

Relationship Building & Cultural Proficiency:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, caregivers, staff, and the community. Work with individuals and families of diverse backgrounds in an equitable, inclusive, and culturally proficient manner.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance to ensure consistent department operations and district-wide support. React professionally and objectively to unpredictable situations, such as behavioral issues or environmental changes, while maintaining a proactive, reflective, and solution-focused approach.

Organizational Management:
Work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational skills to balance the demands of a multi-tasking position.

Compliance & Confidentiality:
Perform duties with awareness of district requirements, state and federal laws, and Framingham Public Schools policies. Maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive student/employee records in accordance with FERPA/603 CMR 28.00.
