Overview

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring for a creative and supportive individual to work in our Wayside Academy. We provide a supportive culture that is team-focused and places value on healthy work dynamics.

Position

Teacher’s Aide / Assistant
Academy - Framingham

Salary Range: $20.50 - $21.50/hour depending on experience plus a sign-on bonus (pro-rated for part-time; half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment).

Sign-on bonus: $2,000.00 (pro-rated for part-time; see above).

What you will do
  • Provide behavioral and academic support within the classroom to students and teachers as a Teacher's Aide/Assistant.
  • Assist the Special Education Teacher/Instructor in delivering curriculum and act as a substitute teacher when necessary.
  • Act professionally and in a manner consistent with Wayside's core service values: resiliency, excellence, and diversity.
  • Provide 1:1 support to students to help them remain in the classroom, including behavioral support interventions when needed.
  • Multitask to support program structure, uphold identified behavioral standards, and serve as a positive role model for youth.

  • Ability to set limits and support the school culture.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 6+ months of experience in educational settings preferred.
Training & Certifications

We will train you in Motivational Interviewing;
Courageous Conversations;
Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC);
Trauma-Informed Practice, and provide MAP, TCI, CPR, and First Aid training upon hire.
