To provide direct instruction to students in order to deliver Framingham Public Schools' high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools. Support team, school, and district initiatives, provide support to all students' academic, behavioral, social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure the development of the whole child while adhering to the district's curriculum.

A Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in the appropriate Content Area is preferred.
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in the area of major study.
- Able to play and teach all string instruments including violin, viola, cello
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Travels to four different elementary schools within the FPS district to teach beginning string instruments to 5th grade students
- Teaches, models, and leads students in learning string instruments including violin, viola, and cello
- Maintains high expectations and establishes systems for instrument care and teaches students accordingly
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and respond effectively to questions from students, staff, parents, and community members.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional literature, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills to evaluate information, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Capacity to use professional literature, evidence-based research, and ongoing professional learning to inform instructional and practice decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the community.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
