Substitute Teacher

Job Summary:

Summit Montessori School is seeking an energetic, creative, and dependable individual to support our classroom community during the school day on an as needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children in a collaborative, nurturing, and engaging environment.

• Supervise children during school hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
• Reinforce classroom expectations, ground rules, and respectful behavior
• Guide and support children in conflict resolution using positive communication strategies
• Foster a calm, inclusive, and positive atmosphere
• Collaborate effectively with faculty and staff throughout the school day
• Supports the core values of Summit Montessori School, including dedication to the School's DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives

• Maturity, responsibility, and strong interpersonal skills
• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent); additional experience or training in early childhood education is preferred
