Distribution Design Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Distribution Design
Engineer located in
Framingham, Massachusetts
.

This role is responsible for planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems, determining the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development.

• Work package development of overhead, underground residential distribution, and underground cable/conduit
• Field engineering of project requirements
• Identification of conflicting utilities
• Engineering and design calculations
• Post-construction reviews

• Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience

• Works on day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond the scope of own work area/project team
• Works under supervision on less complex projects/assignments
• Solves simple, routine technical problems following established procedures and policies
• Develops products, solutions, processes using basic principles, theories, and concepts within own technical specialty
• Requires basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain
• Communicates with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, processes, and practices related to area
