Digital Signal Processing Engineer

We are looking for a hands‑on DSP engineer who will design, implement, and test signal‑processing algorithms in a high‑volume production environment. The role offers learning opportunities in DSP algorithm development, implementation, and deployment for products ranging from in‑home speakers to portable devices.

• Design, implement, and test algorithms that solve technical challenges for new in‑home or portable products.
• Demonstrate and deliver new benefits for customers using advanced technologies such as Bluetooth audio, voice assistants, audio virtualization, 3D spatial audio, and active noise reduction.
• Collaborate with acoustics and electrical engineering teams to tune products for outstanding audio performance.
• Take ownership of product development, moving a project through all phases from exploration to production.

• Demonstrated expertise in real‑time embedded DSP implementation on constrained target platforms for consumer products.
• Experience in audio and speech processing such as AEC, noise reduction, speech enhancement, mic‑array processing, or 3D audio.
• Exposure to acoustics and acoustic measurements.
• Familiarity with basic audio lab equipment and basic hardware design.
• Knowledge of at least one high‑level language such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate third‑party algorithms and perform “make vs. buy” analysis.
• Effective communication skills for discussing complex technical issues with experts in other fields.
• Experience with Bluetooth audio products and understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
• Experience or understanding of acoustic transducers such as microphones and drivers.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another signal‑processing related discipline.

• MS degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Compensation for the primary work location in Framingham, Massachusetts ranges from $138,100 to $189,850 and includes competitive base pay, bonus programs, a 401(k) plan, health and welfare benefits, and an employee discount. Additional benefits are offered at other Bose locations.
