Project Coordinator

Talascend is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Overview

This role involves supporting various engineering projects by assisting project managers with project performance, scheduling, communication, and resource management to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with managing transmission line design projects for electric utilities
• Monitor project performance, costs, schedules, and scope, developing recovery plans as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, engineering disciplines, subcontractors, and support personnel
• Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules and track client deliverables
• Help prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and responses to RFPs
• Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in project management and/or project coordinating
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related discipline
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks
• Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with customer representatives
• Must be able to work out of the office in Walled Lake, MI on a hybrid schedule (3x/week in office)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with electric power industry and knowledge of business issues related to power delivery
• Desire to obtain PMP certification
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6)
• Previous exposure to electrical and/or construction projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management tools
