Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-op Fall 2026
Job Description
Full-time (40 hrs/wk) onsite position. Starts around August 2026 and continues through Fall 2026, with flexible dates aligned with the school calendar. Competitive hourly pay rate with overtime eligibility. Opportunity for multiple rotations and potential full-time employment after graduation.
Responsibilities- Learn and implement electrical system basics: power distribution, lighting & controls, fire alarm systems for new constructions and renovations.
- Produce detailed layout and equipment details of electrical systems.
- Assist in assembling organized sets of drawings.
- Help with data collection and field verification.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, preferably sophomore or junior year.
- Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Availability to work full-time in the Columbus office throughout the co‑op term.
- Ready to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.
