Dietary Assistant
Join the dedicated Dietary Team at Oak Knoll Rehab & Healthcare Center, where your work supports the health and well-being of our residents. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to help prepare and serve meals in a safe, sanitary, and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the Food Service Manager and Dietitian to follow menus and production schedules
- Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and resident preferences
- Set up trays/place settings based on individual dietary needs
- Prepare snacks, beverages, and nourishments
- Assist in stocking, storing food, and organizing supplies
- Clean kitchen areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment per sanitation guidelines
- Follow all food safety and infection control protocols
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment
- Support vending par level preparation (snacks, entrees, etc.)
- Assist during mealtimes and help ensure timely delivery of food
- Attend departmental meetings and perform other related duties as assigned
- Prior food service experience preferred (especially in healthcare)
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions in English
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets is a plus
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout your shift
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
