Qualifications:
  • Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts
  • Experience with a range of respiratory therapies and interventions
  • Familiarity with ventilator management and related equipment
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients of varying acuity
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators as prescribed
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed in collaboration with healthcare team members
  • Provide patient and family education on therapies and equipment
  • Document accurately according to hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
