Essential Job Functions
- Supports administration and execution of human resources programs including but not limited to recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and leaves of absence.
- Assists with the recruitment workflow: scheduling interviews, conducting background screens, employee eligibility/certification verifications, references as requested.
- Manages employee uniform/scrub orders.
- Manages pre-employment and onboarding processes including online assessments, pre-employment health screens, I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
- Coordinates disability and workers’ compensation claims, working with insurance carrier and leave administrator.
- Handles HR-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HRBP and/or manager.
- Maintains online employee personnel files, as well as ensuring related documents are also in the company’s HRIS (Workday).
- Updates org charts the first of each month ensuring data is accurate in HRIS system (Workday)
- Initiates HR-related purchase orders.
- Coordinates payroll changes for processing
- Processes tuition and fitness program reimbursements
- Processes employment verification requests
- Coordinates with various departments and lead for monthly newsletter(s).
- Coordinates employee activities/events
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS )
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two (2) years’ related experience required.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR professional practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems, Workday and ADP Workforce Now a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Ability and willingness to travel as some domestic travel may be required.
- Ability to spend extension amount of time sitting, working on a computer.
- Ability to safely lift up to 10 pounds routinely, up to 25 pounds occasionally.

The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $68,000 annually. Compensation will depend on factors such as relevant skills, experience, and internal equity.
