About the RoleWe’re looking for a Payroll Manager to own and scale our payroll function as we continue to grow. This is a hands‑on role for someone who has operated in a public company environment
, understands the importance of controls and compliance, and thrives in a fast‑paced, innovative culture. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll while continuously improving processes and supporting a dynamic, globally expanding workforce.
- Own and manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Administer payroll through ADP Workforce Now
, including system configuration, reporting, and ongoing optimization - Manage equity-based payroll (RSUs, stock options, ESPP, vesting events, and related tax implications) in partnership with Finance, Legal, and external vendors
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls
, internal policies, and external audit requirements - Support and coordinate international payroll processing, working with local vendors and internal stakeholders
- Oversee payroll-related accounting, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Partner cross‑functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to support new hires, terminations, benefits changes, and system integrations
- Lead payroll audits, respond to internal and external audit requests, and maintain strong documentation and controls
- Drive process improvements and automation to support a growing, global organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of payroll experience
, including experience at a public company - Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Direct experience managing equity-based payroll
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll accounting
- Experience operating within a SOX-compliant environment
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with payroll and HRIS systems
- Exposure to international payroll across multiple countries
- Experience supporting a high-growth or pre-IPO technology or manufacturing company
- CPP or other payroll-related certification
- Experience scaling payroll processes during periods of rapid growth
- Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and process‑driven
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
- Strong communicator who collaborates well across teams
- Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset
