responsibilities:
The Project Analyst role will support the delivery of POS and Payments programs and projects within IT. As a Project Analyst, you will work closely with the Project Managers, Product Owners and Program Manager to help monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and help ensure deliverables are completed on time.
You will assist in managing project documentation, tracking dependencies and risk, support defect management, and supporting the Scrum Teams. This role is ideal for someone looking to build project management experience while contributing to a successful project execution.
The following are examples of typical Project Analyst activities:
- Support project planning, execution, and monitoring across one or more IT initiatives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track tasks, dependencies, risk and deliverables
- Help maintain project schedules, documentation and status updates
- Assist in preparing reports and updates
- Support the team in removing impediments and ensuring smooth project flow
- Contribute to release planning and project coordination activities
- Track project milestones against scope and timelines with the Project Manager
1-5 years of project analyst/coordination experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially the ability to communicate technical concepts to business users and to communicate business needs to the technical teams
Adaptable and can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and make project adjustments to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence and presentation tools (Jira being the highest priority)
Experience with Oracle Retail Xstore POS OR other similar tools
Understanding of retail operations, in-store technologies, and omnichannel commerce
