Role Overview

Zifo is looking for a Lab Support Technician to join the Lab Computing team. The position works closely with the lab computing team and clients to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support end‑user desktops, including troubleshooting, implementing approved software, and removing older software versions.
  • Set up, maintain, and administer end‑user computer devices and related computing environments, including systems software, application software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot lab instrument/lab computer system interfaces and assist in data storage solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair OS issues, Microsoft Office Suite products (including Outlook and calendar), third‑party software applications, hardware problems, perform laptop parts replacement, imaging, data wiping, asset control, and detailed ticket documentation.
Required Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, multi‑tasking, ticket management and documentation, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology using documentation and internet resources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide positive customer experiences when working with users.
  • Manage multiple projects or tickets simultaneously.
  • Diagnose issues quickly and work to resolve them.
  • Adapt to an ever‑changing environment.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree, technical institute degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in IT deskside or desktop break/fix support.
  • Excellent Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office Suite (including O365) troubleshooting skills, as well as hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using a ticketing system (plus).
