Job Title: MSAT Project Manager

Location: Swiftwater, PA

Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) connects R&D and Manufacturing facilities, ensuring high-quality drug and vaccine launches. The Business Operations & Portfolio Management (BOPM) department supports MSAT performance and strategy, maximizing value through timely project delivery, portfolio selection, KPI alignment, process improvement, and partnership management.

As a Project Manager in MSAT BOPM, you will lead complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple products and phases with significant organizational visibility. You will plan, execute, and close projects independently, mentor junior PMs, and influence senior stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the full project lifecycle for complex initiatives such as new product launches, technology transfers, and life‑cycle programs. Ensure timely delivery, optimal resource use, and adherence to strategic goals.
  • Product Program Management: Contribute to product program strategy and evaluate new projects within assigned clusters, aligning with commercial priorities.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with product leaders and business units to align project execution with organizational priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaboration across MSAT Platforms, R&D, Finance, and other stakeholders, influencing senior decision‑makers and presenting at executive forums.
  • Technical Project Planning & Execution: Create independent project plans, identify critical paths, monitor performance, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • PM Standards & Best Practices: Implement rigorous PM standards, including project charters, gate reviews, and governance meetings, and facilitate effective meeting agendas.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, develop contingency strategies, and transform challenges into learning opportunities.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, apply Earned Value Management, and develop business cases with NPV, IRR, and risk‑adjusted analysis.
  • Performance Tracking & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain advanced performance metrics, conduct root‑cause analysis, and deliver strategic insights to leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement & Mentorship: Champion PM best practices, mentor junior PMs, and lead initiatives to enhance organizational PM capability.
About You
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy, Mathematics, or related technical field.
    • 8+ years of experience in project management, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or continuous improvement.
    • Proven ability to lead complex, multi‑phase projects with organizational visibility.
    • Experience managing projects across both drug substance and product, across multiple business units.
    • Advanced proficiency with PM tools such as MS Project, Planisware, or SAP.
    • Experience applying Earned Value Management.
    • Ability to develop and present business cases with NPV, IRR, and risk‑adjusted analysis.
    • Experience mentoring junior PM professionals.
    • Pharmaceutical/biotech background with regulatory, quality, and commercial knowledge.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • PMP certification preferred;
      PgMP or PMI‑RMP are pluses.
    • Strong strategic leadership and autonomy, with minimal supervision.
    • Advanced communication and influence skills, including executive‑level presentations.
    • Sophisticated problem‑solving and risk analysis capabilities.
    • Business and strategic acumen with deep regulatory and market insight.
    • Collaboration across complex organizational landscapes.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and enterprise PM software.
    • Expertise in GMP, validation, and quality compliance.
    • Deep knowledge of drug substance and product processes.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling tools (NPV, IRR, EVM).
    • Fluency in English;
      French or German is an asset.
